I saw Korean Buncheong ceramics at the Denver Art Museum recently and was taken by these barrel bottle forms. Here is my interpretation. I purposefully left the lopsidedness of the thrown barrel turned on its side just because the character of the form tickles me. I love how it looks ancient and contemporary all at once.
