Cookie Jar #5        17″h x 9″w x 9″d        $300

This jar is from my series that comments on our cultural idea of a cookie jar.  I see us as a culture on the planet that is constantly getting caught “with our hand in the cookie jar”, as the saying goes.  Guilty, caught in the act, wanting more than our share.  This particular piece is both too large to reach the bottom and has too small an  opening to get your hand in very far.

This cookie jar comments on the struggle between what we want and what we think we shouldn’t have.  Also absurdly large, this jar is locked up, (although the keys are attached  on the rope in back.)
