These platters are made on molds I design and create, but I enjoy altering each piece by cutting and altering the form.  This is one of my all-time favorites.

I am decorating pieces with slip trailing in a way that looks like writing to me in a language that seems to come from somewhere else…perhaps these pieces are trying to tell me something.

My experiences building wooden boats can enter in to my pottery.  Anything boat-like is attractive to me and the pedestal on this piece elevates it to a certain stateliness I like.
